●     Objectives : To release the students of their mental stiffness that results in shrinking the scope of their activity.

●     Details about the programme : In this one day workshop the students were invited to do little acts on different themes that were given by the subject expert. Through various activities efforts were made to release the students of their inhibitions.

●      Outcome: Workshop resulted in making the students conscious of inhibitions and motivated them to overcome their fears and misgivings.

●      Details about the programme: After the inauguration of the English Literary Association the Office Bearers names, which are as follows, were announced for the session 2019-2020

●     Topic : Dakshinayan : Glimpses of South Indian Literatures

●     Venue : Swami Vivekananda Hall

●     Duration: 01 day

●     Objectives: To make the students aware of the term Indianness in terms of its multi-cultural, multi-linguistic diversity with reference to the pioneers like Narayan Guru and Savitri Bai Phule.

●     Details about the programme: Dr. Sekhar explained in detail the quintessential reality of the Indian Cultural Diversity with examples from various Indian English and Tamil writers.

●      Outcome : The students were immensely motivated into studying not only Indian Creative Writing but also Indian Critical Thought.

●     Objectives : To acquaint the students of English Literature with the History of English Literature and English Language from Pre-Chaucerian times to Post- modern Era.

●     Details about the programme : Dr. Rooble Verma through power point presentation recapitulated in a very interesting and gripping manner theHistory of English Literature and Language from Pre-Chaucerian times to Post-Modern Era.

●      Outcome : The students weremotivated to study the History of English Literature and Language which otherwise does not form their priority.

●     Objectives : To create an awareness among the students towards theatre, professional acting and nuisances of acting.

●     Details about the programme: Working on the concepts of thwarted in Education the students through various activities were disciplined not only to activate their sense of observation and sense of listening but also to enhance their sensitivity towards the surroundings. The workshop was conducted by NSD trained Shri Ujjawal Sinha.

●      Outcome : The workshop resulted in the staging of three dramas by the students. The dramas staged were- Othello, Merchantof Venice and Adhe Adhure.

●     Objectives : To register the students at the center for Ph.Dcourse work and for Ph.D. Work

●      Details of the Programme : The forms of the scholars are submitted along with their registration forms and their synopsis. The synopsis is reviewed  and checked before it is sent to the University for final submission.

●     Topic : Course Work Classes for scholars who have cleared their Entrance Exams.

●     Venue : Department of English, Language Lab.

●     Duration : 06 months

●     No. Of scholars : 06

●     Objectives : The course work is done with the objective toteach Research Methodology and to write a project or dissertation on the topic which they are going to pursue for their Ph.D to the scholars.

●     Details of the Programme: This programme is carried out by the supervisors at the centre. They take the classes of the scholars and register their attendance.
